PostgresSQL and Primary Indexes at the Postgres end

Does anyone have a link to an article on how to transfer paradox files to Postgres where the first field in a table is a longinteger Index Field at the Paradox End and at the other end it is defined as a Primary key and Paradox can use it when querying or looking at the Postgres Table. I cant seem to get Paradox to play nicely.

A suggestion that has been offered is to use a view.
