I've always had issues with all the computers on our network and paradox.  My computer seldom crashed or ran low of memory, but we would have random crashes and memory issues on all the other computers.

I finally upgraded my system and started having issues like everyone else.  It took a day and a half and I finally found the right combo of settings that run the best.  This is not new news; I've found other posts saying the same I did, but here it is.
  • BDE - shared memory location 5BDE
  • Pdxwin32.exe - Compatibility Setting - Windows 7

There are other BDE settings that can be optimized but these two items are key to most of my memory issues.
