Fishing Derby - Monday 5/13 @ 7pm

Gentlemen.

 

Our next scheduled meeting for the Princesses is Monday, May 13 at 7pm.  As mentioned in Brook’s earlier email the activity for the evening is a fishing derby.    I did a test run last week at the pond and the fish were jumping onto the line.

 

Fishing is at the same location as the last couple years.  Here are the directions to the fishing hole heading north from Thornwood Way.

 

Leaving Thornwood Way, turn left on McDonald

Right on Stevens

Left on Hopps

Right on Nolan

Right on Bowes

Left on Longcommon Parkway

At the first traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Longcommon Parkway

At the second traffic circle, take the 2^nd exit onto Gansett Parkway.

Address for park/pond is 3025 Gansett Parkway.

 

Attached is a Mapquest to the pond leaving from the Silvestri’s.

 

The pond has a park with play apparatus and shelter.  We will meet at the shelter.  I plan on getting there early to claim our spot. 

I will have snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for kids and adults.  I have also picked up nightcrawlers.

 

I have two extra kid-size fishing poles in case someone needs one.  If you're bringing your own equipment, simple setups with very small hook and bobber is all that is needed.  We will do catch and release and get pictures of everyone with a fish.  There is a nice pier with railings and a couple benches.  It might get crowded with the number of dads and kids that are expected, but we'll manage.  Please get back with Brook on In/Out so we can get #’s.

 

Try to get to the park a few minutes early.  We want to start right away at 7pm so it doesn't get too dark while we are fishing.  My contact information is below if you have any questions.  Thanks.
