As mentioned elsewhere, Dino, Josh, and I have come up with a venue
for the Cracked Muggle challenges. While we were at it, we also set
up a forum system, a story archive, and a few other fun things. You
can see the new site at www.metafic.com.

Metafic should allow us to completely replace the current Google
group. We're not forcing that, though, so feel free to post if you'd
prefer to keep the Google group active. Let us know why you think
it's better than using Metafic's forums and other features.

The full prompt for the current challenge is posted on Metafic, along
with instructions for how to post, read, and review stories.

For now, general posting (i.e. outside the challenges) on Metafic is
limited to the site admins, their betas, and authors for whom they
beta. We're simply not interested in administering a large archive at
this time. All challenge stories can be posted on Metafic, regardless
of author, provided they meet the stated requirements of the
challenge.

Have a look at the site and let us know what you think.

Thanks,
Dave

LOL, I should have read this posting first before replying on the
other thread line!

To repeat, sorta, I've logged in and created a profile and taken a
very quick look at the site. Looks great guys, especially the
"Marauders" style greeting and some of the options.

I can't see that it would be a problem replacing the Google group with
Metafic, but then I don't now a whole lot about the issues involved as
this is the only such group with which I deal. Others more in the know
may have different perspectives.

Here's to many good stories (not a problem with the authors
involved ;-) and future good times!
