August 29, 2012

Dear Parents,

Our first few days have been very enjoyable here at St. Thecla! Students are happy, teachers are eager to teach, and the school looks great! On Tuesday we had our first all school Mass. Praying together in church was a wonderful way to begin the school year.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday is Parent Night here at St. Thecla. The schedule is as follows:

*Tuesday September 4, 2012

Grades 1-5

7:00PM Meet in Church for introductions and welcome

7:30PM Walk over to school for teacher presentations and curriculum overview

*Wednesday September 5, 2012

Grades 6-8

7:00PM Meet in Church for introductions and welcome

7:30PM Walk over to school for teacher presentations and curriculum overview

St. Thecla will be celebrating Grandparents’ Day with Mass, breakfast, and an open house on Friday September 7, 2012. More information will be going home this week about our Grandparents’ Day.

Please remember to turn in all of the completed forms that went home on the first day of school. The forms included: handbook agreement, medical emergency form, photo release form, phone information, Going Green email sign up, and Memorial Fund (with check if interested).

Please remember that FSP Lunch does not begin until September 10. Please pack a lunch and drink for your children until then.

Our Thecla Tots Program begins on September 7th in Falcon Hall at 11:30AM. Please bring your “tot” every other Friday and join us for games, song, and play!

*Finally, students will begin to wear uniforms on Tuesday, September 4. There is no school on Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Sincerely,

Mr. Dan Gargano
