FIVESTAR has it covered with durable folders to store and organize school papers. These folders will safely secure papers and handouts and come hole-punched so they are easy to store in a 3-ring binder with other schoolwork. Conquer the school year and organize with the right school supplies, starting with a Five Star pocket folder.
So I recently took some images for someone and because we live in different cities I chose this platform to share the images. I shared the folder with her and had her star the portraits she liked. Problem is I can't see them. Is there a way for me to see the starred items?
Only way to do that would be to log into her account @nthms321 as the starred section is account specific (meaning that files you star will only show as starred on your end) and allows for quick access to the files, folders, and Paper docs that you need the most. As you probably know, there are three ways to star files and folders in Dropbox:

That "solution" is lame. What type of platform is this, when you cannot share something as simple as whether the person you are sharing to clicked a star. I was trying to use dropbox for the exact same reason (that is, asking a person to star the photos they like). Really pathetic. No more innovation from Dropbox.
We work hard to make Dropbox the best it can be, and your feedback, either positive or negative, is important for helping us do that. I'll pass on your feedback to the appropriate engineering team to inform future updates to our website.
Agreed - Lame and Crippled. I've been a dropbox user for years but only so that other people can download my images. Last month while in England I took images at a celebration and had my friends "star" images they wanted printable versions of. But can I see which ones they starred?? Nooooo
This shouldn't even be an issue. An absolute fail on DB's part. It can't be that difficult to offer a tab within a folder that allows you to see which images are starred and by which team member. What exactly do Dropbox do with the money we pay?
I have acrobat reader mobile for iOS connected to my Dropbox and use it for marking up documents on my iPad using Apple Pencil. Works fantastic. The HUGE hassle, unfortunately, is navigating the hierarchy to get to your files....which you have to do every single time you launch it, as there appears to be no way to "star" a folder. You can star a file...and this puts it in your 'starred files' and you can get to it quickly. But I want to bookmark or star a FOLDER; I have docs associated with a project in one place and want to be able to fire up acrobat and get there instantly...and not have to click down through my entire folder hierarchy. A simple and effective solution would be to allow us to 'star' folders as well...so that they appear in the quick access "starred" list. No idea why such an obvious function was left out. Or am I missing some trick?
I have a Google Drive Folder, which was shared with me via link (I guess it's set to Anyone with link in Organisation can View/Edit). When I click the link, I get into the Google Drive web UI, with the folder content listed. I can star any contained file/folder, but I don't see any way to star the shared folder (the root folder) itself.
If it was explicitly shared with me, then I could find it under Shared with me and star it there. But it's not the case. If I just search it by the name, I get into same view as through the link, where I see the content, but I don't see a way to star the folder itself.
I am essentially looking for a way how to make this shared folder click-accessible (without remembering the name or looking up the link each time). If there is other way to do this, other than starring, I would appreciate it as well.
I faced the same problem. In the new web interface you can click the button with folder name and select the Add star item. However, for me this does not have any effect in web interface (the star is lost after page refresh) nor in Android Google Drive app, though it miraculously works in Google Drive app on iPad.Apparently Google needs some more time to make this usable...
and I added a vote to your bug report because I noticed the same behaviour. On the other hand, Arch released Gnome 3.28 pretty quickly, usually we wait until .1 (one month). Maybe there are small bugs
For now, starring works only for indexed folders. Your Documents or Pictures folder are indexed by "Tracker" (by default, if you do not change it). Can you check starring works for files and folders in one of these folders?
Laserfiche offers several ways to locate documents in addition to searching and browsing. You can star documents and folders for quick access later on, view a list of documents that you recently opened, and access a list of all the documents that you currently have locked or checked out for editing.
You can star a document or folder that you want to quickly find again in the future. For instance, you might want to star a document that you frequently need to reference, or to star your own inbox folder for easy access. To star a document or folder, in the right pane of the Folder Browser, click the star icon next to the document or folder name. Alternately, right-click the document or folder and click Add Star/Remove Star.
Starred documents and folders will be displayed in the Starred list in the upper left corner. A star will also display next to the document name in the Folder Browser list. Stars are specific to you; other users will not be able to see which documents you have starred.
You can find information about documents that you currently have locked or checked out for editing in the Documents in Use list in the upper left corner. The number of documents that you currently have locked or checked out will be displayed next to the list's name, allowing you to quickly tell if you have any documents reserved for you and to determine if you want to check them in, save them, or release their locks to make them available to others.
Documents will automatically appear in this list if you have manually checked them out, if you have opened them for editing using the Microsoft Office Integration, or if you have made a change to their pages or metadata and not saved it yet. Documents that have been checked out will be displayed with a pencil icon, while documents that have been locked for editing will be displayed with a lock icon.
Checked out documents can be checked back in (which will save your changes) by selecting the document and clicking the Check In Document icon or right-clicking and selecting Check In Document. If you want to discard your changes instead of saving them, you can instead select Undo Check Out.
Locked documents can be saved by locating the document and saving its changes. If you want to discard your changes (for instance, if the document's lock was not correctly released), you can select the document and click the Release Lock icon.
I mean I wonder whether google drive may have some folder attributes, and so not all folders are the same. I mean I can perfectly see the same paper in a folder starting with H, but not in starred folder.
Stefan, I can see this is an old thread but it seems that I have the same problem now. when I try to sync the star folder to an e-ink android device it tells me I only have links in the star folder. and indeed when I check google drive through the web, it does look like the files are stored as links and not as PDF. In terms of workaround, let me ask a question: what would happen if I change the google sync structure to folders and create one folder with papers to sync? will google keep two copies of the papers (one in all papers and one in the folder) or will I run into the same problem? thank you!
Today, we're introducing a Starred Folders section where you can quickly access your most commonly used folders. With the new Starred section, your favorite folders and projects are always just a click away.
When you hover over a folder, you'll see a star icon appear on the right. Click it and the folder will be added to the "Starred" section on top of your folder tree (in much the same way you add a task to "My Work").
