I have recently been running into problems when exporting videos VideoPad keeps asking to download x264enc7.exe. I had done some looking around, with options to put this into Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components\x264enc7 and AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components but these solutions do not work. Other codecs seem to fail as well. I'm a bit of a loss here.

As the attached file didn't work, I proceeded with the installer you provided after I uninstalled the old program + data through Windows (I don't really see the point of using another third-party program).

The problem is opaque - I drop an mp4 file into the timeline, and click export to video file. I have enable lossless ticked in settings. I click detect for settings (which doesn't matter, no settings work) and everything else is default. All I want is a direct stream copy ie lossless.

It 'creates' it in seconds, then says it's running on demand. Looks like it's downloading a file but then says 'failed: unknown error'. It then opens a browser window and downloads x264enc7.exe from but nothing happens/it fails transparently.

Tried that, hence the info in post. No luck. Where should this file reside? It shouldn't be this hard to get a simple app to work. I set all permissions to allow on both locations of this enc file but no change, even in admin mode.

What? I'm not on a mac, as indicated by the Windows file path and .exe extension. I'm on Windows 10. I've found all the threads, but none work. Don't need the file as, per my op, it's downloaded every single export attempt. Its in the locations I've seen and you've posted but no configuration works.

Can I enable logging somehow and help you guys look into it? There's nothing in the project file I can see would cause this - i simply dropped one mp4 in and it doesn't work, but I've uploaded my portable project here.

Great, thanks again! I'm trying not to create two paths for people to follow concurrently. I'm looking through the log too trying to work out the similarities with the 'failed' message using 246 and mpeg...you guys might beat me to it!

I'm working with VideoPad for over a month, and exported many videos, and everthing was fine till today. I tried to export my video in usual format and it keeps throwing me error about codec x264enc7. It says that file is corrupted or damaged, and that I need to delete it. Path is: /.../AppData/Roaming/NCH Software/Components/x264enc7/x264enc7.exe

Could you please try running VideoPad as Adminstrator (even with an account with Administrator, right-clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator" can still help) as this can sometimes help the problem.

Alternatively, go to the x264enc7.exe file in questions and make sure you have permissions to access it (Right-click, Properties, Security tab). It might also be worth going to "Advanced" on that page and making sure that you're the owner of it (up the top).

Had the same problem. Was following all the steps recommended even running as Administrator, checking persmissions, etc. I then upgraded my version from 4.58 > 5.03 and still the same problem. Finally I read in another thread to delete everything in the components directory. Once I did that it was exporting like a pro.

x264enc7.exe is (part of / used by) VideoPad version 3.89 by NCH Software. It slows my computer down, but unfortunately it's a necessary annoyance if you want to create videos with this version of VideoPad. It's not a virus/malware/spyware or anything like that. It's safe.

berhaupt da ist. Wenn diese fehlt kannst Du Dein Projekt nicht mit H264 - Codec exportieren. Eine Neuinstallation des Programms knnte das Problem beheben.
Die Dateien (also Projekte und Deine Einstellungen) bleiben dabei erhalten.

Ich mchte eine Batch starten in der ich verschiedene Sachen starten lasse. Allerdings brauche ich fr einen Befehl davon Admin rechte. Ich habe schon versucht es ber den Aufgabenplaner zu machen und auch ber eine Verknpfung der Datei, Leider ohne Erfolg.

Ich habe fr ein Schulprojekt das Programm VideoPad Video-Editor benutzt (die kostenlose variante). Ich bin jetzt fertig mit schneiden und wollte das Projekt exportieren und es zu einer Videodatei machen. In VideoPad steht aber das fr das exportieren die kostenpflichtige Version bentigt wird. Dazu kommt noch das die Kostenlose Version abgelaufen ist. Was soll ich jetzt tun? Ich habe ein fertiges Projekt im .vpj Format und brauche es aber im .mp4 Format. Ich kann das Projekt leider auch nicht mit anderen Programmen ffnen. Es geht nur mit VideoPad. Ich muss das Video nchsten Montag prsentieren. Also habe ich nur noch 4 Tage Zeit. Gibt es irgendeine mglichkeit das ich das Projekt in eine Videodatei umformen kann?

Ich habe ein Video mit dem VideoPad Video-Editor bearbeitet doch kann es nun nicht exportieren, da ich nur die Testversion besitze. Wei jemand wie ich das machen kann ohne die Vollversion kaufen zu mssen? Vielleicht mit einem anderen Programm? Ich wrde mich sehr ber eine Antwort freuen

zu dieser Frage gab es schon ein Post, da dieser jedoch 3 Jahre her ist und dessen Lsung bei mir nicht funktioniert hat, wundere ich mich ob es vlt. gepatcht wurde/ einfach nicht mehr klappt.
Die Lsung war, dass man unter C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves die Save-Datei kopiert und wieder mit einem '- Test' dahinter einfgt. Das hatte ich auch versucht, aber ohne Erfolg. Ich spiele mit SMAPI, also einem Mod-Launcher, knnte dieser das blockieren?

Neben denOrdnern C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Office\ undC:\Users\Benutzername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ habe ich auch dieRegistryeinstellungen HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\ als wieder zuimportierende reg-Datei gesichert und wiederhergestellt. Nach der Wiederherstellungwaren die Einstellungen fr das Menband trotzdem nicht wiederhergestellt. Ichwei, man kann sie extra speichern und wiederherstellen, mich wrde trotzdemder Speicherort interessieren. Jetzt haben die 5 verschiedene Orte fr dieEinstellungen....

Die Datei nicht ffnen ;) der Virenscanner hat in der Regel schon so seinen Grund wenn er Dateien blockiert. Wenn du dir 100% sicher bist, dass da nichts schdliches drin ist, kannst du einfach den Windows Defender deaktivieren. (Am besten einfach Mal googlen)

Es geht um eine winrar - RAR datei. Wenn das .exe Programm aus dieser rar extrahiert wird lsst es sich nicht ffnen bzw es kommt eine Fehlermeldung und die extrahierte datei verschwindet sogar nach dem anklicken!

Hi, ich habe ein Programm (Time-Laps Tool ) installiert und nun suche ich die .exe von dem Ding. Laut der Eigenschaft der Verknpfung ist der Dateipfad "C:\Users\rfl\AppData\Local\Programs\AI Devs\Time-Lapse Tool\TimeLapseTool.exe" , wenn ich diesen jedoch ffne, ffnet sich direkt das Programm. Wie komme ich zur exe?
