Under The Hood Did you know you’re suppose to rotate your tires every 7,500 miles? If you knew, have you been keeping track? Maybe you’re one of those rare folks who actually does but the majority of us don’t pay attention until something goes wrong. For me, that was last Sunday when I discovered not only was my tire completely flat but also completely worn out. Then it struck me that life, and life together in the body of Christ, is often like that. We roll through it without paying attention to what needs to be maintained and cared for and the next thing you know, we’re in the breakdown lane. So we’re taking some time this Fall to peek under the hood and see God’s design for the church and how he designed it so that we can prevent our life together in the local church from looking like that tire; deflated and inoperable. Series continues on 9/19 @10AM. Connect Groups Coming this October Starting in October, The Bridge will be launching a number of connect groups that will focus on different goals. As they become finalized, we will circulate the information through our weekly announcements as well as post all details on our website under the Ministries tab (then click on Connect Group). Here now is a preview of some of the groups.
Next. We all recognize there is a gap between the person we want to be versus the person we are. But how do we change or grow? This connect group will spend the next 3 months helping you to examine three areas necessary for growth: your understanding of God, personal character and skills for ministry. This group will meet every Saturday at The Bridge from 10am-Noon. To register for this Connect Group, please contact Dominic; and let him know if you need assistance with childcare during this meeting. If you know you need to grow in your Christian life but you’re not sure how, then come see what’s Next .
Foundations This “Women Only” connect group will be meeting every other Friday night at The Bridge starting October to examine the practical implications and applications that come out of the Sunday messages. Additionally, it will try to relate what they’re learning from Scripture to areas of marriage, parenting and family life. The curriculum will be fluid and open to group input. Because it’s only meeting twice a month, we hope you’ll consider staying with the group for the next 6 months. Meetings are at 7:30pm-9:30pm. Youth Group The youth group will be starting again at the end of September. We will continue to meet with Cottrell Corners Community Church, now called Grace Church. In addition we will also be doing several events with The Point Church. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the youth group resumes! Contact Howie with any questions. | ||||
