hello biketours,
i know we are late but i just got informations about your project today.
we are the cycle cinema club!
and we are based in vienna, austria.
the cycle cinema is a bikepowered cinema that happens one ore two times a month on different places in the city- the projekt started this year in mai.
the cinema is for free, we don't wan't to make money with it, we are just, big big bikefans and fans of bikemovies! so mostly we show bike-shortfilms. the 4 members of the club are workers and students, we are no organisation or event-planers - D.I.Y... rulez! making power with bicycles is ver cool and fascinatig thing, we make cinema far away from any powersource.
we have collaborations with the IG-Fahrrad (bike-lobby vienna) - they gave us some money for a portabel screen and an NGO called "indyact" - they lend us the e-bikes for making the power.
we would use the money for:
- getting permitions for using places (government).
- building cargo-bikes for our equipment (till now we borrowed them).
- bulilding a e-bike for children (our ones are to big for children)
- buying a beamer
