Greetings fellow bananas!! I wish you all banana-filled spring breaks wherever you may be off to. Remember, wherever you go, please try and the local banana flavors.
Also, please see note from rob below. Each paying person on the boat needs to pay an additional $155.56 for the group food/booze/etc. If people can send me some money via paypal again I can write the total check to Hale.
Also, we need to figure out how to buy our own food for the boat (thanks balding and smoking bananas for the reminder). I haven’t had a chance to look into it yet but I was hoping our wise skipper might have some experience from last year?
Lets have a banana reunion after spring break where we can share our banana stories from the holidays!

Greetings BVI Boat Leads –
You are receiving this email because you are designated as a boat lead on the BVI google doc. Get excited about the epic experience that awaits!
It is time for you to begin collecting money from your boats for the “Sloan Fee” that is used to fund group meals / activities. After spring break, Alessandro and I will follow-up with detailed instructions on how to submit the aggregate amount due for your boat. In the meantime, it’s important for you to begin collecting money from your crew ASAP since we need you to send us 100% of your boat’s funds by Friday April 12th.
Each boat is required to pay $140 for each person on the boat, including skippers and any other non-Sloanies (example: If you have 9 Sloanies on your boat + 1 non-Sloanie skipper, your boat is responsible for paying $1400, which equates to $155.56 per Sloanie). A summary of the amounts owed by each of your boats is pasted below.
We will use the BVI Google doc as the basis for planning the group meals / activities, so it is also critical for you to update any changes regarding your crew count ASAP (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AsEOp-E4zf4zdHFrM3FsZkRkeTVEZl92eFdoZWEtZ0E#gid=4).
Finally, a cost breakout of the $140/person Sloan Fee is provided for reference:
· $94 / person for food + DJs at three group dinners: $30 for meal on May 25th, $30 for meal on May 27th, and $34 for meal on May 29th
· $46 / person for additional group fixed costs: Shirts, flags, supplies for BVI Olympics, etc

Hello my lovely bananas,
I come back to the imperium on the 2nd of April, lets organize something together then.
About the groceries, we will have a couple of fridges and one freezer, but still, fresh food get a little damage by the end of the week.
Two things to think about, hangover and dehydration...therefore, a lot of fresh water and beer is needed. Last year we bought 1,2K of beers and we ran out of it. On the other side, we bought 10 bottles of 1.5 liters of Rum, 6 of Vodka, 6 of Whisky, 1 of Gym, and we nearly drank 4 of Rum and 1 of Vodka. It’s true that gringos drank a lot of beer, and are not as use to strong drinks. But when it is hot and you are going to be drinking for a week, maybe is not a bad strategy.
Fruit last a lot and is very convenient for the morning. Can tuna, pasta, rice,…also very cheap and convenient.
There is a bbq on the boat, so we can grill.
Keep in mind that once we get out of the port, is going to be hard to refuel groceries.
I do not have the list of items from last year, I will try to ask Goulet, my boat leader for it.

Friendly reminder that each person on the boat needs to pay $155.56 for the group food/booze. You can also pay me in bananas with exchange rate = 10 bananas to a dollar.
