A couple of questions to the group:

Does anybody have a telex nc450d pinout to xlr? I have done this in the past for a backstage announce mic, but I have lost/forgotten how I did it.

Also, does anybody have the pinout/circuit diagram of a clear com terminator? My lighting team really wants a "private" channel in order to make it work, I have to drag out an old defunct base station and put it on the end of the line to terminate their private channel. We have a four channel system (2 RM704 for the lighting designer and programmer) and they peel off the audio channel and that means that their "private" A channel is now unterminated. I know masque sells them, but they always seem to be out.

For the channel split a production intercom SB-1 Is an easy way to do this. Clearcom may have a similar device but I'm not sure. They are available used for ~$50.

I'd wager something in the neighborhood of a 600 ohm resistor across pin 3 and ground should sort it. may want to hook up a decade box and see what sounds the best.
Been ages since I looked at the guts of a com terminator and I can't remember the values off the top of my head.  maybe meter the output of the main station with termination enabled/disabled?

Good afternoon all,

Termination for Analog Clearcom is often done at the power supply for
each channel. Since it is possible to connect two power supplies at two
points in a single channel, one sometimes needs to defeat the
termination on one of the power supplies. Termination should be 4k ohms
between pins 1 and 3. This is quite different from termination for DMX.
If a com channel is doubly terminated the resistance of course is 2k
ohms which of course is too low. So instead of adding termination,
other than assuring that every channel is terminated one must be certain
that it is not terminated more than once.
