Is the Big Daddy procedure for setting up your own service current? 

I want to set up my own private servers but I don't want to be tied at the hip to Google.  I have all my own servers, etc.

Do I need to use google app engine?  I can do my own.  This seems to also get around the logging in issue to Google.

Any thoughts?

Then you need to see Gary's doc's on running your own instance mine is using Google's app engine and it's copied from MIT instructions

I tried to login to  http://www.bigdaddyappai.appspot.com/  but I cant get in as it says my ID has not been authorised to use the service. Please our do I get authorisation.

Hi,

I couldnt pay for the service as google checkout did not accept my transaction.

Will have to find another means. maybe paypal if the option is available. I need to get it running asap

and the Personal server if you want to give it a try running locally on Windows
