Dear Retort Readers
RETORT MAGAZINE is back for 2009 - all the best new art, literature,
news and reviews from planet Earth all in one place for your
convenience.
We have built an all new RETORT FORUM so that you may participate
directly in the site, post poems, literature, press releases, news
scoops, post your own gigs etc etc - You may post anonymously as a
Guest but you will be required to enter a 'captcha' code, this is to
prevent mass posting by spambots. If you register the 'captcha' goes
away - registered users emails are kept private - registration will
give you access to additional features not available to guest users
such as definable avatar images, private messaging, emailing of fellow
users, usergroup subscription, etc. It only takes a few moments to
register so it is recommended you do so.
Registration is free, and you are not required to use your real name.
You are required to use an actual email address for password
retrieval.
Also this year you will see a 'Chip in' banner on the left side of the
homepage, this will update each month showing you how much money it
takes to keep everything running smoothly here at RETORT. We will not
hassle you throughout the year with emails and notes begging for
donations, but if you are able to chip in a couple bucks it all helps.
That all said we hope, despite gloomy financial times and unstable
political climates, that 2009 is healthy, creative and prosperous for
each of you.
