Proposal to reunify Cyprus is topic of new embassy newsletter

Our embassy newsletter is going out this week to the foreign embassies
in Washingon, DC. The topic of the proposal is the reunification of
Cyprus.

In 2004, Cyprus joined the European Union, and in the process, left
behind the TRNCyprus. Joining the EU was supposed to solve the
problem, and to draw in their northern state, but the E.U. doesn't
know how to deal with Turkey, and this leaves the Northern Cypriots
"on a bridge." This issue has left a rift, a sense of helplessness
and hopelessness in the population. We are offering this proposal to
enable them to have a new option, one that enables everyone to
function on a higher level, with no sense of judgment.

Each year we are offering 8 new proposals, and this first year is
devoted to those who are dealing with a sense of judgment. Cyprus is
part of this first ripple dealing with the judgment place placed on
them, on the TRNCyprus, and on Turkey.
