Gran Fondo Texas 2026 - Invite

Greetings Fellow Hams! 

Please Share with your local Clubs and ARES groups.

On Sunday April 12^th, 2026 Montgomery County ARES will be assisting the “Gran Fondo Texas” with ride communications again this year. 

We are looking for volunteers who want to gain more experience and are willing to help out the community.

The Gran Fondo is held in Montgomery and Grimes Counties with 3 different ride routes going from Montgomery to Richards to Anderson and back.

The Gran Fondo Texas charity bike ride operates under the Texas Medical Center Orchestra, a 501(c)3 organization.

If you are interested in participating, you can sign up at this Google Form.

The ride route will be updated soon, there is currently construction scheduled for parts of the route.

Raffle Tickets are available this year, Grand Prize is worth $2,000. Tickets help support this event.

We will be using the newly renovated Montgomery County ARES Trailer again this year.

We will follow up with this year’s Communications plan and race provided information in the following weeks when the race route and comm plan is finalized. 

There is a change in the way Lunch is served this year. We plan to deliver all radio operators the food provided for by Gran Fondo.

We will arrange a time for you to pick up t-shirts and race comm signs.
