This is the last week to sign up for communications positions and those who want to participate in the CERT exercise. Please Sign-Up this week so we will know where best to place all communicators.
CERT participant signup is still open and teams are being finalized. Indicate on signup for which team or area you wish to participate with. Please sign up NOW so we can have an accurate number of participants an ensure there are enough materials and FOOD for everyone.

Prizes have been donated again this year. (Some are Very nice)
Several factors have necessitated a reorganization of field layout this year. The new layout and 205 (Communications) plan will be updated and included in the 2025 ICS Plan and when finalized it will be sent to all communications volunteers.
A Video Conference will be scheduled the week of CERT Rodeo to answer any questions you may have.

Q: What is the CERT Rodeo?
A: The CERT Rodeo is an annual CERT training event that draws CERT teams from Houston, Harris County, and the region for a day of skill practice, team building and fun!

Q: What is amateur radio’s role in this event?
A: AUXCOMM (Auxiliary Communications) will establish a directed net and provide radio operators to communicate between each of the event stations, the registration area, exhibitor room, parking lots, the various CERT leaders, chiefs, and incident command (IC).
AUXCOMM will provide operators for all functions and positions designated in the ICS plan. All field operators will use their own hand-held radio.
Q: What are the hours of operation?
A: Generally speaking, arrive by 07:00 – 14:00 (depending on attendance)
Q: How do I get involved?
A: It’s real easy using 2 steps:
1) Add your name to the radio operator roster via this form:

This year's form will email back your selections, if things change before the CERT Rodeo you can edit your registration.
2) Fill out and bring with you the HCFMO Liability Release Form from the Links on the Left of Page at
https://www.harriscountycitizencorps.com/About/Partner-Organizations/CERT-Rodeo
You do not need to fill out the CERT registration form (information is in Sign up) as in prior years.
Communications packets will be sent to all registered Communicators.
Communications Video Conferencing Meetings will be scheduled later this year following up to February 15, 2025
