2026 May Club Meeting

Hey there everyone!
It's time for our monthly club meeting again.
It's Thursday, the 21st of May, 7PM at the EOC room at The Woodlands Central Fire Station, 9951 Grogans Mill Rd, Spring, TX 77380 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/LdAGzd3UfNjKk6N6A) (upstairs, through the often-closed hallway door - knock if closed, then left into the EOC)
The previous club meeting was just prior to the ironman. I'm sure there will be some discussion as to how that went. From the Ironman perspective, they were very happy to have our help. But, I think we can be doing better. The repeaters being available again thanks to Mike were great, the P-25 radios worked out well too (thank you Lee). There are multiple fronts on which improvements can be made. I'd really like us to be seen as a great example of how to do it well.
I'm sure there will be other things to talk about, like POTA, and recently there was some discussion about what it takes to support a call with the international space station.
I believe we also have at least one person wanting to take an FCC amateur radio license test, too. (So, if you're a volunteer examiner, please show up!).
