Group,
Here is my completed UDL presenation.  I have not turned it in yet, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know by Sunday afternoon.

Kyle,
For some reason, I am unable to access your presenttion. When I clicked on your link it gave me an error.  I would really like to see what you did with Prezzi as I have never used it before.  Chad e-mailed the group and mentioned how much he liked your presentation, so I would love to see it as well.

Chad,
I agree with Kyle that your PowerPoint was a bit wordy, but then, so is mine.  I agree with you that it was difficult to create a presentation, especially PowerPoint without adding as much as we could per the requirements.  As Kyle mentioned, if we were actually presenting this in front of a class or with our colleagues, we would only have key points and would then narrate and add more to the discussion.  It is a bit difficult to do that when we are turning this in for a grade based on what we have learned.  I was unable to view your transitions or narration; I wish I had the software to be able to add narration to mine. For now, that is the only major aspect I would like to change. In regards to your presentation, you definitely covered all of the bases and had a lot of detail.  Personally, I think the color is little loud, but it does catch the viewer's attention.

David, Maria, and Catherine,
I would love to be able to view your presentations as well.  If I am reading the instructions for this week correctly, we were all supposed to share them with the group for review and comments.  I know you all did a great job. I look forward to seeing your work.

Only four more weeks to go...

Well, that was a learning experience....

I hope this link works:
I also struggled with the balance between being brief enough that someone would pay attention to the presentation and thorough enough to demonstrate knowledge gained from the course...

I am looking forward to viewing everyone's presentations...

Well, it is absolutely par for the course, so I shouldn't be surprised... I can't open either Rachel or Chad's presentations.  I have spent most of the day on Prezi, so I might have expected that to work.  And PowerPoint is pretty standard, right?  Won't open...  I am going to accept that it is a miracle I completed my Prezi without too many crises and move on for now...

After the hours spent hunched over the computer the past year and a half, I will look something like a gargoyle....

Better luck to you all...

Maria

Hi Rachel,

I saw your slide show and it just strikes me as truly organized and it catches the attention of your viewers.  One thing that I am curious about is how much personal ideas can we inject in these presentations.  You did, however, do that.  Also, I learned a lot about highlights and outlines through your work.  Thanks for sharing.

Cathy

That was one thing I liked about the Prezi format (although it felt like sort of a mind-bender at first)-- that you could cluster things together and it was easy to go back and re-show main headings before you went to another category of sub-headings.  I am not terribly skilled at PowerPoint and am sure I missed a lot of its great features, but I do like that Prezi is a little more flexible because it is not linear.

One thing that makes working with it a little difficult is that you can not copy and paste any graphics.  You have to obtain them directly from Google or  you have to save them to a file and access them from there.  Also the pictures are all sort of blurry and pixelated. That may have something to do with the size to start with since working in Prezi is sort of like being in Wonderland where you are looking at objects/text as if  you were an ant or as if you were looking down from space...
