Hello all,
Here is my application assignment. Like Marie, I uploaded my actual application.  The resources and links are embedded throughout.

Rachel,

Earlier in this course we created surveys to get to know our students backgrounds and learning preferences.  I have not thought of using surveys throughout the year to gather information about students knowledge on the content prior to learning it.  I use Google + frequently in my class, so adding a survey would be quick and easy to do.  As you stated, it would be a non-graded pre-assessment to gauge any their current understanding and any misconceptions.  I think it may be a little late this year to begin surveys as it is over half way over, but it is something that I will begin planning for next year.  I also intend on creating an online form for students to fill out when they want to to a self-assessment.

Thanks!

Hello Learning Community Group
I do apologize for not submitting my week five assignment.  For some reason I thought I had completed all of my work last week.  Even though this is late, I attached my source links and how I would implement them into the classroom.

Something about that was a little fuzzy to me too, but I found something somewhere about passing along what we found.

I appreciate the WebQuest resource.  I have tried to do those once or twice and haven't really made it work very well.  This sounds like a helpful resource.

I also appreciate the site for self-assessing skills with technology.  Students come in with a wide range!!!!  I have especially found that to be true now that I mostly have freshmen and sophomores versus juniors and seniors.  I didn't realize how much students just pick up as students throughout school that the younger ones have yet to figure out... All that much more need for me to teach them directly!
