Bully Project Manager lives next door to MY Project

Man I'll tell you, nothing bugs a PM more than the "Bully PM Next
Door", did you ever have a PM down the hall who wants a deliverable
you are doing on your project, and he asks you ten times a day, every
day when he is going to get it, then passes on every thing you tell
him down the hall to everyone like he is the center of all
information. Even when you notify them of every update you have when
you get it, that is still never enough. Wow, that's when you need
patience, and poise.
SO, what can I do differently to stop that kind of activity? I think
that you have to go toe to toe with a person like that so that they
learn to respect you. I also think you need to manage the information
that you give that person, so you don't give too much too often so
that it is expected.
What would you do?
