JR plays an April Fools joke by letting John Barton take over teh
JimBo forum. It was cute until Barton's obnoxious personality started
pissing everyone off. Joke got old quick. JimBo is mad at JR for
letting a guy he always had differences with, "dis" him. JR might have
been retaliating for inviting 30 ppl to the private VF party when he
was asked to only bring 3-4, JR got mad when they others were bounced.

Feel free to correct me if i missed something.

You missed everything - this was my one and only reply in that
thread. And it was a fucking GREAT April Fool's Joke. J.R. Fucked it
up by using it to get even at Jimbo. My intention was only to play a
prank that came to me when JR and I were shitfaced at the SBE party a
week or so before.

1. I was not given anyone's email addresses. Email was sent with the
"from" information listed as jbideas. But the email was not sent by
me. I do not have the old Inside Pool nor the new Inside Pool
Magazine's email lists.

2. The joke was not vindictive on my part. I thought it would be just
funny and was not being hateful. That is why I responded with the
"positive" messages.

3. No posts that were not related to the joke were edited. If someone
posted something that was directly in reference to the joke that was
really negative then it was edited with a "positive" note as to why.
If someone posted negative content about me that was not related to
the joke, as Eric did, then it was NOT EDITED and was responded to
normally.

4. Rep was given as a joke with the understanding that after the joke
it would all be restored.

5. After the joke I wanted to leave the forum as it was with no
changes and I still hope that all the threads that were started IN
DIRECT RELATION to the joke can be deleted.

6. Although I think Jimbo is an egomaniac who is currently about as
high as a forum junkie can be, he did actually end up doing some
really good things on his section. Things he would not have done were
he "just a member". The Ask the Cuemaker stuff is great and I suppose
the raffles are fun as well. So I was not being vindictive at all.
Were I then I could have and would have wreaked havoc on the forum. I
did not, nothing was changed in the content NOT RELATED to the joke.
(With one small exception, I made the Ask the Casemaker thread sticky,
so it would be easier for me to refer to)

7. I don't know why Jimbo has not had his moderator privileges
restored. I have nothing to do with that. Again my thought was that
the forum would be restored as if nothing had happened the day after
the joke.

In summary, it was a joke, period. My part in it ended at midnight
April 1st. I have no further control or access to any administration
at IPM.

Jimbo, good for you that you have a place of your own. You will recall
that I told you you should have done it from the beginning. There are
many in your "army" that have the requisite skill to do this. In fact
you know that I even was able to put up a forum for you and it only
took me about 30 minutes to register the domain and install the
software on the server.

Now you don't have to piggyback on anyone else. I think having a forum
in your name is something of an ego-trip but hey if you have that much
celebrity and people want to get on the bus then it's cool with me. I
enjoyed it for a day.
