Fwd: A Unique Opportunity for Alumni to join the Outreach Division

Dear Alumni,
I have been introduced to your list serve by my colleague Antonio Merenda.
It is so exciting to write to all of you and share an opportunity for you to play a role with Outreach. And so, I invite you to become an Adler Ambassador. Volunteering to be an actor within one of our Outreach classrooms to inspire and support our students.
We have been given a unique opportunity to deliver acting classes within 7 middle schools in the Bronx for the next three years. The way it works is that we have a lead faculty member responsible for the content. Our Ambassadors, members of the conservatory and our Alumni, simply take the class along with the students as a fellow actor. There is no prep, no teaching required, just you going back to middle school and training alongside these extraordinary students as their mentors and guides. Your presence is the gift. Your takeaway will be life changing for you and your students.
There is currently no compensation for this endeavor. Those of you interested in arts-in-education will find this opportunity extremely valuable. It is actually the way began my career as teaching artist.
We begin next week, and so we will have classes every Monday – Friday, 8am – 1pm. Each school receives four 45 minute classes per day.
