Hi Pat,
I'm no expert but something that is to be considered always in
scripture is the context. The authority for the appointed times was
given during creation week and from what I can see there had nothing
to do with the barley. The Sabbath was given during creation week
also.
Let's look at the scriptures where the barley is discussed and see
what we can learn about what is being taught and what the context is
okay?
