Thankew, thankew, one and all. No cake today, but the daughter brought Chinese over (near ralphing from the smell, she's in her first trimester) and my dear, sweet loving wife who knows me too damn well assembled a Dennis Miller rant marathon that nearly made me give all that wonderful food back (the hard way). I had enough rug rats and porch monkeys to start my own zoo. Can I get an amen? I'm guessing some of them aren't related, or my mind is going even faster than expected. Or both.

My brothers (stout fellows!)(also ale fellows, beer fellows, hootch fellows...) brought my favorite tipple...theirs. And stayed long enough to lay all those soldiers to rest. We played Taps. Or tapped another keg. Or something. Reports are vague and contradictory, except from the girls. Glad I checked my memory at the door.

I am assured that a good time was had by all. Wish I could put a name to the shifty-eyed SOB that assured me of that, but you can't have everything, right? Now where the hell did my recliner go...
