RULES:
1) Song title to be revealed after 24 hours if no one can name the tune.
2) Hints appreciated after 12 hours or so.
3) If you are first to name that tune, you can either post the next song clip or pass along the honors to someone else.
4a) Software:
I use an ancient version (v1.5) of Adobe Audition. But there is an
excellent freeware program from Sourceforge called Audacity (for
Windows) that may be found and downloaded from:
If
you need help with setting up or using Audacity, please let SoC members
know and they will be glad to give you a hand. There are also other
programs that may be used to "clip" song cuts from YouTube and
elsewhere... If you find a good one, please feel free to share with
us!
4b) You
don't necessarily need a huge iTunes library to play. There has yet to
be a song that I could not find on YouTube. You can download and
automatically convert YouTube videos to MP3 audio files using the Free YouTube to MP3 Converter
5) Please keep the tunes in the 1950's through 1980's range for this thread.

Guys, I'm pretty much out of tunes now that Google has shut down the YouTube MP3 thing. About all I have left are some C&W and a few R&R that everybody will recognize easy.

Try downloading MP3 Rocket Free Basic Version but while installing it, be careful to "decline" installing some of the other crap. It's much faster than Free YouTube to MP3.

Youtube-mp3 still works just fine for me.. but yeah, I'm also really happy with MP3 Rocket that GTB pointed me to, it works really great! :)
