Is timetravel a theory or is it a possibility

So my question is just that. Can time travel become more than a
theory such that it may even be possible? Or will it just ever stay a
theory because of the simple fact that the human race invented time so
therefore although it might exist time is in itself only a theory so
therefore how can you move through it?

You are grievously misunderstanding the nature of a theory.
*insert meta-rant*
(i decided to leave that out- it is another discussion for another
time(and in that vein- we need an official dictionary))

but in short, yes. there are feasible ways to do so, the only boundary
that we know of is money. ALOT of money. its complicated stuff, mind
you- but still, entierly possible.
also, humans did not invent time, we invented the measurement of time.
to say we invented time is to say we invented space and direction- and
we move through them just fine. (that point can be discussed in the
'is it possible to know anything thing)

I would like to conduct that meta-rant as well, some other time (i'm sorta at school now).

And an unofficial dictionary

No, humans did not actually invent time.  That would be like saying we invented Earth.  Yes, we realized Earth exists and gave it a name, and a way of measuring it, but we didn't invent Earth.  I'm not sure about time travel backwards - I've had a book reccomended to me about that - but time travel forward has been conducted.  Get in a spaceship.  Go very very fast.  Come back. More time has passed on earth than you expect! Yay! Time Travel!

Well, to be irrelevant, take wormholes[space wise] into mind. In
physics and fiction, a wormhole is a hypothetical topological feature
of spacetime that would be, fundamentally, a "shortcut" through space
time. For a simple visual explanation of a wormhole, consider
spacetime visualized as a two-dimensional surface . If this surface is
"folded" along a (non-existent) third dimension, it allows one to
picture a wormhole "bridge". A wormhole is, in theory, much like a
tunnel with two ends each in separate points in space-time. The theory
of general relativity predicts that if traversable wormholes exist,
they could allow time travel. This would be accomplished by
accelerating one end of the wormhole to a high velocity relative to
the other, and then sometime later bringing it back; relativistic time
dilation would result in the accelerated wormhole mouth aging less
than the stationary one as seen by an external observer, similar to
what is seen in the twin paradox. However, time connects differently
through the wormhole than outside it, so that synchronized clocks at
each mouth will remain synchronized to someone traveling through the
wormhole itself, no matter how the mouths move around. This means that
anything which entered the accelerated wormhole mouth would exit the
stationary one at a point in time prior to its entry.

What? I like astronomy. >_>

WHEN? WHO INVITED YOU?! And hello, my name is above!

Now your theory and reason does seem sound. I agree with the new guy!

Cheers

Alright, interesting stuff, I didn't know about this.  So, theoretically, time travel _is_ possible?  which means we actually do have to come together with something in the multiverse topic?  huh, this is going to take quite a bit of hard thinking...

If that's true, I have dismantled it!

Now for the wormholes, how would we, the human race, prove that it would bend time? I though space alone bended time since the clocks don't function normally up there.

Well, theoretically, it is; to humans, our technology is feeble and not up to the task. :3

Ah, excellent.  Anyway, have you looked at the multiverse topic yet?  We've got some real incomprehensible stuff in there, a good test for the newbie.

I proposed that topic but astrology inside it could boost some talk. Go for it!
