Oil Line Replacement

Hi Kids,

So it appears that we need our oil line replaced. They want to charge me directly with the cost of this replacement, but I think that Realty World should reimburse us because we obviously didn't break the line ourselves.

John - could you go into Realty World and talk to someone about this or ask who we should talk to? I want some type of confirmation that Realty World will reimburse us before I tell the Oil company to go ahead and fix it. Just let me know if you can't do it tho and I can go there at some point.

I actually went by there yesterday and talked to them about it, I think we should get a set price from the oil company first then get realty world to give us the money in advance for it.

Yeah, and the people at realty world wanted to talk to the oil company too before they did anything, they were quite adamant about that.

Hey, so the people from realty world called me today and asked if we had scheduled for the oil company to come replace the oil line. I told them we had not because we had some concerns about how the payment for the repair would work. Long story short, the little old man whom I assume is in charge called me and explained that when we got the bill from the oil company for the oil line, we bring it straight to him and he writes a check either to us or to the oil company if they will allow it, and then we send it in. This prevents us from ever having to pay the 350 dollars and risk never getting reimbursed. I feel like this is our best option so I think, if no one else objects, that we should go ahead and schedule to get this done. I have to old man's cell phone number and he told me to call him directly if we needed anything or if something changed.

So i called the guy that called me and i called the wrong number... Garrett can u call the people that you calle before to place the request?

Okay I called to schedule it, and the lady told me they could do that, but she told me to call realty world and tell them to establish a landlord/tenant account that way we get billed for the oil, and they get billed directly for any service fees. So I called realty world, but the lady that deals with stuff like that had left for the day. She is supposed to call the oil company tomorrow to talk about setting that up, then she is supposed to call me and let me know about what they decided. At this point I am not too sure exactly how this is going to work out but we should know more tomorrow hopefully.
