Franca was positive for Drostanolonek, whatever that is.
and
Sean Sherk, the reigning UFC World Lightweight Champion, who last
competed on July 7, 2007 in Sacramento, has tested positive for
Nandrolone Metabolite. He has been fined $2,500. His suspension period
runs from the conclusion of his bout on July 7, 2007 through the
remainder of his licensing year which is June 26, 2008. Furthermore,
he has been assessed an additional 10 days in order to fulfill the
terms of his suspension (365 total days). The additional days will be
added at the beginning of his next licensing year when he reapplies.
Normal levels of Nandrolone range from 2 ng/mL (average person) to 6
ng/mL (athlete engaged in rigorous activity). Mr. Sherk's reported
level certified by the Director of Science and Technology from the
laboratory that conducted the tests was 12 ng/mL. Both the "A" sample
and "B" sample were tested and confirmed as positive.
Very disappointing and yes, bad for the sport. I guess we won't be
seeing BJ vs. Sherk now :-(

It’s definitely the next logical match up but I don’t think Joe “daddy” has a chance. At least Sherk could’ve lay ‘n prayed and possibly nullified Penn’s ground game to grind out a decision (doubtful but possible). Joe won’t be able to hang with Penn on the ground, he’ll toy with him even worse than he toyed with Hughes. And he sure as hell doesn’t want to stand with him.
This is a very bad matchup for Joe. It stays up he gets KTFO, it goes down he gets subbed. He has a puncher’s chance at best.

You wouldn't think a guy like Pierre would take those kind of
measures, but hey, everyone thought the same way about Royce.
Have they decided who the title will default to from sherk?

Sherk could very well win his appeal though. His levels weren't that
high and apparently the science for testing and for what is naturally
possible is a hotly debated among experts. I can't remember where I
heard it from but I recall an article stating that there was a study
done that suggested up to 36 nanograms of nandrolene metabolite could
be produced naturally. Sherk's level was 12...

BJ already handed Gomi a pretty good beating, and after what Diaz did to Gomi... I really think that Sakuria would be a better fight. I thought I heard that Sakuria was moving up to 170 to fight diego though, so I bet we'll be stuck seeing BJ fuck up Joe Stephenson. I'm really Hoping Sherk can clear his name, because that's the fight I really want to see.

Following that fight, his body type changed (some speculate it is from
roids) and became a KO artist. Shiiiit, he knocked out Pulver,
Sakurai, Kawajiri, Azerado, and Ishida after that fight.
I am not gonna elaborate on the Diaz fight because I heard he is
holding a seminar at our gym soon and I don't want him to pull a GoGo
on my ass.
Just watch the first couple minutes of that fight before Gomi gasses
out...

What up ?
On Gomi, people can say what they want about him but the fact is when he lost to BJ it was his first match where elbows were legal amongst other things. I say a UFC rematch between Gomi (because he is the #1 rated mixed martial artist in the world) and BJ would be awesome not only for the fight itself but also for the UFC.
I mean how many times did you really hear Rampage's name mention by someone that really doesn't watch a lot of other MMA. Now all you here about is rampage this and that.
As far as Diaz, he was high as shit when he beat Gomi. Doctors even said he had to have been baked DURING the fight. Now to see him sober and refight Gomi would also be a bitchin fight to watch.
As for Jay's amazing poop flinging skills he does have some amazing technique…some say he learned in the heart of the brazilian rainforest where the monkeys are all expert poo throwers. Amazing!!!
Is Diaz really going to be coming to LA boxing soon??

I wore a T-shirt of him arm-barring God to class on Monday but I had
to cover it up with my Gi haha.
Well he is a heavyweight though...I was keeping it to the lightweight
division.

Interestingly enough they also rate "Shogun Rua" as the light heavyweight #1
contender. The rest are pretty predictable, Matt Serra, Anderson Silva, and
then of course fedor Emelianenko for heavyweights.
