With the midst of summer upon us, we near the end of our summer and
the start of school for parents and college students. While we try to
squeeze in what ever vacation we can, it seems we try to do the same
when it comes to fitness and travel. It most cases the two terms
don't usually share the same sentence. We try and we try to find time
to work out in our travels but yet we always find an excuse not to.
The two most common excuses I've heard or used my self (Okay! You
caught me! I'm Guilty!) are time and resources or place to workout
at. Time is an understandable factor. We are paying large sums of
money for these vacations and we want to maximize the vacation to its
fullest potential by maximizing our time spent. Working out doesn't
fit into that equation. Unfortunately, workout out it a time
consuming process! You get up, change, go to the gym, warm up, get on
some cardio machine, hit the weights, and what ever else you would do
at that gym. That would take an average of 1.5 hours total or
possibly more. (The number is factoring in time taken to go from your
room or the place you are staying to the gym. This is assuming you
are in a hotel room and the hotel has a gym.) Now, the other excuse
is just an excuse! Not having the resource to work out is a crock of
$h1T! If you have hand and if you have feet, that's more than
enough. It's called body weight calisthenics in your hotel room.
Body weight calisthenics is the answer to the excuses we have for not
exercising on our vacations. It's fast and it's effective!

I perform a variety of workouts when I'm out of town. Everything from
burpees to running up and down the stair wells. One of the most
common workouts I perform that's quick and will work you pretty hard
is my version of Matt Furey's Royal Court. His version only contains
the back bridge, hindu push-ups, and hindu squats. My royal court
consists of the back bridge, hindu push-ups, dive bomber, hindu
squats, and knees to chest. I'm not saying my way is better, I feel
you hit more body parts. So, with that being said, here's the
workout!

30 Second - 1 Minute Rest in Between Each Set

*If you don not know what back bridge, hindu squat or push-ups, or
dive bombers are Google them and Matt Furey and you'll be able to get
a visual description. I will soon have pictures up on the website or
my blog. The knee to chest is merely a balancing act on your bum.
So, while you balance on your bum, place you hands behind you for
support (right behind your bum on the floor), shoot your legs straight
out, pull them back to your chest, and back straight out. That's 1
rep!

1 x 25 Hindu Push-Ups
1 x 25 Dive Bomber
1 x 25 Hindu Push-Ups
1 x 25 Dive Bomber
1 x 25 Hindu Push-Ups
1 x 25 Dive Bomber
1 x 25 Hindu Push-Ups
1 x 25 Dive Bomber
1 x 25 Hindu Push-Ups

8 x 25 Hindu Squats

8 x 25 Second Back Bridge Hold

8 x 25 Knees to Chest

LMAO! It's the same thing as a Hindu Push-Up, except you follow the arching plane you followed diving down into the hindu push-up back up into the starting position

Here's a link to pictures and a better explanation of a divebomber.

Hope this helps.

Nope!  Just a version for those with not enough strength.  Sorry no fat kid version.  If you can't do it with you feet holding you up.  Do it on your knees.
