Hans & The Shazam perform classic Beatles songs at this very special
Long Players show, Saturday, August 22nd. Tickets are $20 at the door.
It's all part of the Fab Four Festival 2009, a 3-day event at The
Cannery Ballroom in Nashville that will feature live music,
informative panels, and a wide array of Beatles memorabilia.
For those who've not yet been lucky enough to see The Long Players,
they're a group of veteran musicians known for their performance of
classic concept albums. The core band includes Bill Lloyd (Foster &
Lloyd), Steve Allen (20/20), John Deaderick (Dixie Chicks, James
Taylor), Steve Ebe (Human Radio), and musician/producer Brad Jones.
The Long Players did Sgt. Pepper in 2004, Revolver in 2005 and Abbey
Road just last year. This year it's The White Album. They've got some
great guest vocalists lined up, including Hans who will sing "Helter
Skelter", "Bungalow Bill", and a few more. And, for the first time in
almost nine years, The Shazam will perform a LIVE version of
"Revolution 9"! Copies of The Shazam's 2000 release "Rev9" will be on
sale at the show.
