Hey Kids!
Just wanna wish everyone the Happiest of All Possible New Years, and
I wanna let you know what's up.
So here's the deal...
Did I mention that MIKE VARGO is SO in the The Shazam and he became
family virtually at the first rehearsal, which was one week before
his first show with us, which was two days before we started
recording the new record? Well, it's true. And now, a quick word
from Mike himself:
VARGO: Hey everybody. I can't believe I waited this long to join the
band. Been cool meeting everyone. It's just that easy. Smiles and
gumdrops, or something. Happy New Year.
New record?
Yeah indeed!
Without the help of Great Big Megabux Records, these things take
time, I hate to say, but I love to say that it's pretty much done and
we're shooting for a March release on New Boss Sounds. I have not
made my mind up on the title yet, typical me. But I can tell you the
track listing, some of these tunes we've been playing live of late,
so here's this -
So Awesome
Ain't Gone Long
NFU
Disco! At The Fairgrounds
Hard and Slow
Hey Mom I Got The Bomb
Always Tomorrow
To Oblivion!
See You Cry Tonight
Which Is When
Let It Fly
(Yeah) Firelight
Here's an article from MIX magazine about the recording:

Little Steven's label, Wicked Cool Records, has just released a comp
CD called The Coolest Songs In The World Vol. 1. The opening track is
our own "On The Airwaves".
The Shazam are in the December issue of SPIN magazine. Page 119.

In the meantime, most shows will be around Nashville 'til we get
closer to the record release.
Much more real soon!
Very Peace and Luv,
