Hello! We are just a few short days away from the start of the Kansas State Fair! I'm looking forward to a great ten days of fun! I wanted to just take care of a few final housekeeping notes before we get going!
Beginning at noon on Thursday, September 9, if you need to reach me by phone please call 620-474-0027 (cell phone, active September 9 - 19) or you can call 620-669-3855 (Bretz Law Arena, where I office). Please leave a detailed message if you do not reach me (including your name and group name and phone number).
I will also be checking my email periodically so feel free to email me at freesta...@yahoo.com as well.
When you arrive you will need to pick up your gate tickets and parking passes at Guest Services which is located at 20th and Poplar. If you are performing at Gottschalk Gazebo you will enter at Gate 1; if you are performing at Bretz Law Arena (BLA) you will enter at Gate 2; and if you are performing at the Lake Talbott Stage you will enter at Gate 3. If you are performing on more than one stage during the day you will need to exit thru the gate you came in and drive around the exterior of the grounds to the correct gate. DO NOT, at any time, drive thru the fairgrounds to get to your next stage.
Please be mindful of the expiration time on your vehicle pass. Vehicles on the grounds past the time on the hang tag will be towed. Remember, once you are done performing at your stage please move your vehicle to the Green Lot (Gate 3) or the Blue Lot (Gates 1 & 2) so that the performers following your will be able to gain access to the stage to begin their set.
Payment: You can pick up your check at the Administration Building following your final performance at the fair. You will enter at on the northwest side of the building, once inside enter the office on your left. The checks that have not been picked up will be mailed out after the fair. The Administration Building is open from 8 am - 8 pm during the 10 days of the fair.
