I would like to dedicate this message to my Mother who came into Christian Science
as a teenager and then later after she married, brought up her children in the Christian
Science Sunday School.

Here is my message for to-day.

Page 92, of Helen Wright's book,"If

Mary Baker Eddy's Manual Were obeyed",

tells us that Mrs Eddy stated that,

"A Science does not need to be copyrighted."

Mrs. Eddy backed these words up by not copyrighting

the last 14 editions of "Science and Health With

Key To The Scriptures", following the last copyright

edition of 1906.  These succeeding 14 editions included

thousands of changes.  The last edition approved by

Mrs. Eddy was presented in 1910.

The Pastor for the Christian Science church, the Holy

Bible, we can be certain was in the public domain

and consequently never had a copyright.  Any Bible

version used in a Christian Science service which holds

a copyright does not belong, since according to

Mrs. Eddy, "A Science does not need to be

copyrighted."

The first Bible verse without a copyright presented

in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health

With Key To The Scriptures", are Jesus' words,

"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make

you free." John viii.32.

The last testimony in the 1910 edition of the Christian

Science textbook begins with a Bible verse provided in

the public domain.  It is,

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto

my path."

Bible Gateway indicates that among the very few

translations without copyright that provide these

Bible verses that Mary Baker Eddy's "Science and

Health With the Key To The Scriptures" is correlative

to is the KJV.
