I am pleased to report we had a stimulating event on Saturday, with
about 15-20 people investing their time on a sunny afternoon to join
us in authentic discussion of our economic future. The value we
generated was beyond monetary measurement, and many involved felt
renewed enthusiasm toward using these types of events (world cafe, and
open space) to support local transformation through meaningful
dialogue. Here are the questions that we asked for each round, I may
include more synthesis later as I continue to harvest the meaning from
the notes which were taken at each table.

If anybody has other impressions or insights they'd like to share from
Saturday, the <virtual> floor is now open!

Questions:
1) Given the state of the world, and the region in which we live, what
is your perception of the steps to be taken, and the elements of a
viable local economy?
2) What are the present barriers (individual, cultural, and systemic)
to such a system?
3) From your wisest perspective, what are the relationships that need
to be developed?
4) Make it personal: Where do you see investing your resources and
life energy?
