Since I want to give this beast a try and the two prospects I
recruited are likely going to back out, I figured I'd post on this
message board and see if there are any local Colorado teams out there
in need of a rider.
I am a 30-year old advanced-intermediate rider looking to join a 4 or
5-person team that knows how to have a good time and ride hard. This
would be my 3rd 24-hour race, the previous two being 24-hours of Moab
in 2005 and 2006.
Although I like to compete and take racing seriously, the main reason
I do them is to have a good time. I am not looking to turn pro or be
on a team that is in to win it (but not come in last either). Just
looking for some laid-back people that like to ride hard and know how
to have a good time.
BTW, unless I suck it up and buy a full-suspension gig I've been
eyeing before this race (which is unlikely), I'll be riding my
beloved, yet underestimated hardtail.

We are looking for a rider (two actually) for our team - unless we can
find a strong girl to do a 5 person entry then it looks like a 4
person (men) entry. I did the race the previous three years and won
the Sports Div 4 person men group twice (Team "down to the wire" in
2006: 7th Overall). I would do the Pro/Am Div if I could find two
tough girls but we're kind of late for that with the race just 10 days
away.

We have a slopeside condo, massage therapist and support crew lined
up. We are well organized and you just have to be willing to go out
and ride 4 or 5 of the best laps of your life. This is an epic event!

Let me know what you think.
