The Render Engine beta 1.4.0 has been tagged in the SVN repository.
The full and minified versions are available for download from the
project page at http://code.google.com/p/renderengine. Additionally,
a new version of the API has been put on the downloads tab.
This version marks a turn in development, as the idea of non-graphical
contexts has been dropped for the time being. We're keeping the
Canvas context, and plan on eventually getting the SVG context working
too. But the HTML contexts are now only there to allow the engine to
boot. Trying to maintain the HTML contexts was dragging the project
down. There's a page on the project site which describes my decision.
We're getting closer to the code freeze... only the tools release to
go and then we're into lockdown!
