Welcome to The Render Engine discussion!

WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
The people who come here are usually looking for help or are looking
for answers. I typically frequent this list to answer as many
questions as I possibly can. Realize that currently I, Brett Fattori,
am the only person working on the engine. There are many people who
have contributed ideas, made suggestions, and generally been helpful.
There is a website for the engine at:

You can find the latest release of the code, tutorials, links to the
documentation (online and offline) and information about upcoming
releases. This discussion group is for talking about the engine, how
you're using it, and getting some answers to questions you might
have. If you have an issue, bug, complaint, or problem with the
engine, you should record it in the issue tracker which is located
here:

PLEASE BE COURTEOUS
It is imperative that we're all friendly to each other, including you
and I. I am not your only reference to The Render Engine, and I'm not
here to be another developer on your project. With that in mind, I'm
always willing to help out where I can and to give pointers about
using, developing against, and suggesting alternatives when using The
Render Engine. Spam, porn, disrespectful behavior, and other such
things will be deleted and will result in the user being banned from
this list.

MODERATION
This list is initially moderated. Until I have decided that your
posts are suitable for the group, your posts will be moderated by me.
Typically, if your first post is engine related, I will move you over
to "always allow". So, if you post a question and it doesn't show up
immediately, it's probably because I haven't had a chance to read it
yet. Don't worry, it'll usually only take me about 1 day.

I've spent the last 3 years of my life working on the engine. Lately
the engine has gotten some attention and people are using it more each
day. In the past year I've been very active in developing the engine
and I plan to continue with it. If you feel there is something
missing from the engine, please do let me know. Thanks to everyone,
so far, who has contributed their thoughts! I really do appreciate it.
