Federer and Mirka have twins....again. Leo and Lenny!

OMG! I was right. Federal and Mirka had twins boys today, sometime around 3:45 p.m Swiss time, I guess. The news is posted.....somewhere. The rumours were true.

C'mon, how can anyone be so disgustingly perfect. First, twin girls, and then twin boys? I cannot believe that one.
Congrats anywY to Roger and Mirka. I knew something was up today, when he withdrew so suddenly.

wow, congratulations. Definitely has to be one of those fertility methods. There is no way they can have twin girls followed by twin boys.

Mirka and I are so incredibly happy to share that Leo and Lenny were born this evening! Twins again.. miracle!

That is precisely my thinking Sek. When I heard the rumours a few weeks ago, I guessed that she might have had fertility treatment. But I actually worked with a girl, whose mother had 2 sets of identical twins......all girls, 18 months apart. Apparently, her Mum thought she was losing her mind when they were all babies together.

I mean, having 2 sets of twins in a family does happen. Look at the Duggars! It does happen.

I mean this is short of a miracle, it is going to be so exciting for them raising both sets of twins. Life can't get any better than that. I am so happy for them, they deserve it.

Apparently, Fed's sister has one set of twins as well. I read that somewhere, but cannot verify it as fact. I would say that might complete his family, don't you think? Although with that kind of money, they could have another set of twins, and it would not dent Roger's pocket book.

Miss_Vee, even with so much money, one still needs to be able to give all kids enough attention and love. I think 4 is good enough, plus Mirka might be too exhausted to go through it again.

I know Sek. I was just having some fun with the idea. Children take a lot of time and energy. But when you have money, you can hire staff to do the cleaning, and chefs/cooks to prepare most of the meals. So the drain on them as parents is less intense. I always thought they might have just the 2 girls, because Roger wants to keep playing, and likes his family with him. So far, it has worked out well. Let's see how much having 2 more babies in the mix, changes things....or not.

Well, usually it is the first round that is draining, u fuss over every little thing. I am thinking the boys will bring more happiness in their home which will even translate to him staying happy with his day job (tennis) . Like u said, how can one dude have it all? smh

I just read somewhere on the ATP website, one fan said that his mother was a twin, and her 2 brothers were also a set of twins. So although we think modern medicine may have played a part in this"miracle," good old fashion procreating may have played a part as well.

But who the heck does that? Has a relatively large family today, 2 girls followed by 2 boys, and only had to do it twice....lol!

Miss_Vee, it's k, u don't have to dig up his family history, yes there are twins in his family probably starting with his great grandparents , but in 2014, 2 sets of twins, one set girls followed by a pair of boys, 99% chance has to do with the new fertility methods

Not disagreeing with you gals either. It was the first thing that crossed my mind a few weeks ago when I read that Mirka might be pregnant with twin boys, but Fed refused to confirm it then.
