Well the tournament began last night/today.  However none of the big boys will be appearing maybe before Friday/Saturday.  Looking at
the schedule of tonight’s matches, don’t see anyone who stands out.
Many notable players are missing from this tournamen, and Carlos is the top one who will be missed.

Sinner has a tough draw, and he really should have skipped this one also, because he is apparently still nursing an injury.  Anyway, it’s his health and his call.

No, Sinner said he had a little bit of diarrhea . lol

"It's nothing serious. I had diarrhea for the past few days and lost some fluid, but I feel fine. I also had a bit of tension. The mix of tension and the past few days was not easy. However, I feel good now.

I'm not worried about tomorrow. Everything is fine," Jannik Sinner said.

Lol!  Ok Sek, at least it’s not a serious injury.  He will be fine in Shanghai.

Shelton lost to Goffin in str8s!  I doubt that he is ready to return to completion.  We shall see how he fares the rest of the season.  I think that he was hoping to ensure his spot at WTF in Turin.

Sinner retired in the 3rd set with bad cramps in his body.  He couldn’t walk.  It was horrible to witness, but he tried to get through his last service game at 2-3.  He handed his opponent the win.  They had all played in brutal conditions all day.  He and Djokovic had night matches back to back.  Djokovic commented on the brutal conditions also that almost took him out.

Sinner, like Alcaraz also needed to rest his body for the remainder of the season.  So I’m happy that he didn’t try to have physio work on him, so he could finish the match.

Fritz has been playing every week lately it seems, and the conditions in Shanghai took him out.  He lost yesterday also to GMP ( Giovanni Mpeshti Perricard), the Frenchman with the mammoth serve.  Fritz normally would have won that match, but GMP, and the brutal conditions last night led to Fritz’s downfall.
ATP is starting to resemble the land of the walking wounded.

So Novak was right after all. The dude can be annoying but he is smart.

Djokovic was in trouble also in his match.  He had vomited on court due to the brutal conditions.   Novak is simply playing this tournament to stay as sharp as possible.  He hasn’t committed to play any more tournaments remaining on the Calendar yet, but this is happening because of his age.

Missvee I’m not talking about this particular tournament, I’m talking about Novak believe on the calendar to be too demanding.

It has always been too demanding, especially in the last 15-20 years, but it has become even worse with the introduction of 2 week Masters tournaments.  It’s simply horrible for players….ATP and WTA.

The 2 week thing is hard for me to even keep track. The game is now too physical. Sinner and Alcaraz have taken it to another level with their physicality, they need to schedule small events in between so the top players can rest at least 2 weeks before the next event.
I see no one has even noticed Zverev went down like a beautiful dog, lol. What a season this guy has had. He needs to find a solution for next season.

I think that I noticed Zverev had lost his match this morning, but forgot to mention it.  Not surprised he lost.  Cannot even recall who beat him…lol.

And that was after he run his mouth on how the tournament surfaces have been homogenized to favor Sinner and Alcaraz.

Miss_Vee, did you see what your guy FAA did to Musetti. I saw the highlights and I was like who is this guy? lol. This is a new Felix. I hope he brings this confidence next season.

Sek, I made sure I saw FAA vs Musetti this morning, and I said the same thing about Felix….lol!  Mouth literally dropped open watching him take Musetti apart.  I have never seen Felix play this well, except about 2 or 3 years ago towards he end if the season when he won multiple titles in a row.  What happened in Felix’s head?!?  Whatever it is, keep it going young man.

Felix may also be pushing hard to get to the WTF in Turin, because he’s within touching distance of achieving that feat.  He is now at #10 in the Live Race.  Jack Draper is #9, and we know that he is injured.  Musetti is at #8.  Even if he doesn’t win this tournament, he has a couple more tournaments to get to the finish line.  Hope that he does qualify.  From what I see, those guys are treated like royalty…lol.

Bianca, I had never heard of this guy, until he beat Rune a few days ago.  Came out of Challengers to beat top 10 guys.  I had a feeling that Novak wouldn’t survive the semis, because he had been taken to 3 sets 2 days in a row….lol.  When will Novak accept that he is now vulnerable to losses at every level on the circuit now?!!  Lol.
Vacheron and Rinderknech are cousins, and Rinderknech said after he beat Meddy, that he and his cousin had never imagined that they would meet in a title match, especially a big title match.  Rinderknech has had a few great wins, his cousin has not ever approached a final of any sort on the ATP level.  How crazy is that?  I think it will be the first title for either one.

Here is what Novak  needs Miss Vee ..to be beaten off the ATP tour that’s the answer ….. these guys need to step up and beat him at every level then it will finally sink into his cocky head that he isn’t getting that last slam. The guys need to beat  the fuck out him everytime they see him since he can’t bow out gracefully on his own. …..they need to beat the fuck out of him as they escort him to the door

I love this story. Congratulations to the 2 guys.
I bet Novak took a few MTOs. You can't mess challenger guys up with MTOs, these guys have seen it all. lol
I hope it will be a good final.
Novak needs that oxygen tank.

Lol Bianca!  Vacherot should have let his cousin win this Masters title.  Rinderknech has been working so hard, and has had very good results at the ATP level….just kidding!
With that 1000 points he should be in the top 100 on the ATP tour.  That will guarantee direct entry into the next GS, which is Australia, if he can maintain this level.

I think V V might have made other top guys believe that they not lose to Novak. Fritz, hello?

V V needed this win more than Rinderknech, but I think both are now going to push each other.
