-Twat Zverev is working with Uncle Toni and possibly Rafa as a special advisor.

-Nishikori apparently has been a cheating asshole for years after it has been revealed he has had an affair with another woman for years while married with 2 kids.

-Stan is still playing challengers on the gunk.  Just stop already.

-Venus accepted a wildcard for DC.  See Stan above.

Doubtful that Venus or Stan needs to play for financial gain.  Maybe they continue for the same reasons that millions of others do.  I'm at a loss as to any reason that they "need to" retire.
(I think that I read some blurb the other day about Venus getting married or was engaged).

Zverev acknowledging that he will have to change his style (or at least add to it), to compete with the top dogs.   If it works out, will be good for tennis overall.  Right?

"Igas dress, who is her stylist?

Probably someone who secretly hated her in high school.

Sugar, much as I don't care for Zverev, I would like to see him actually learn to play aggressively and become a factor in the big matches.
I think it will be interesting to see if uncle Toni can get him to grow some balls.
Someone needs to help Medvedev as well, we need him back.

Venus will get double bageled by Mboko.

The Nishikori cheating news is very shocking for me, I didn't even thing that is something heard of in his culture. He acts like he is so sweet and innocent.

Sek, I’m with sugar on this report about Nishikori.  Gurl….culture?  Where did you have the idea that Japanese men do not cheat?    Remember those geisha girls?  Or is that a myth?!  In fact, it seemed that Japanese men always had a way for stepping out on their wives for centuries.

Feddy, I had read that article about Zverev also many 🙄….lol.  Highly doubt that Zverev can be persuaded to leave his stance way behind the baseline to receive first or second serves.  I’m prepared to watch that evolution of his game.
Re: Stan!  I love my stanimal…😂.
Venus is another story, because it’s painful watching her on court now.  So I will avoid watching her matches.
Star, I had also read that Venus is scheduled to marry her guy.  Whatever!  Maybe that is another A.I generated story.  I’m wondering if she even has a boyfriend.

Iga’s dress….o.m.g!  Who did that to her???🤣🤣🤣
That girl has no idea of style, or what suits her body.  Many of these girls are simply not stylish.  Iga seems the type who wants to spend all of her waking hours in shorts and tees, or sweats.  Not remotely interested in fashion.

Read today that Cahill is staying on as Sinner’s coach, albeit part time.  He will travel to GS tournaments with Jannik and Vegnesse, who will continue on as his full time coach in 2026.  I think Cahill really wants to spend more time at home on Australia.

Honestly the way Nishikori and Naomi all act shy, I thought the Japanese culture was real no cheating, basically prim and proper.

Sek, it’s not shyness, but the behaviour stems from the manner in which they have been raised.  Japanese culture is one in which, kids are brought up to respect parents, and elders.  Maintaining peace amongst each other is highly valued.  They are expected to conduct themselves in an honourable manner, they bow when greeting each other.  Notice Naomi bows her head ever so slightly after a match, as she approaches the net.  Nishikori does the same.

The traditional values are deeply engrained in most Japanese people raised in Japan.  Even though Naomi lived most of her formative years in North America, her mother was raised to adulthood in Japan, and has passed the traditional values onto her daughters.  They have also spent time in Japan with relatives there.

Apparently, Japanese men cheat as much as their North American and European counterparts do.  However the divorce rate isn’t as high as in those countries afore mentioned. Wives want to keep the family together, and they value peace in the relationship, therefore they soldier on, even if the marriage devolves into a sexless relationship.

Important footnote*.  Geisha girls aren’t hookers…lol.  That’s a myth.  I was the one who made that inference.

Andy Roddick started a podcast almost, or about a year ago, which has really taken off.  It’s the most fun to watch on You Tube.  He is so darned funny, and that’s why I tune in most nights during big tournaments which he covers.

It also seems as if Kim Clijsters who used to appear jointly with him, discussing the WTA, has now branched off to host her own podcast under the “SERVED” Media umbrella.  Looks like Andy has found his calling, after leaving tennis.

His podcast is awesome.  Also, Ons is taking an extended break.  At her age, might as well be a retirement because she is done going deep.  If she becomes pregnant?  It's a wrap.

Genie Bouchard is retiring from tennis at the tournament in which she first appeared as an 18 year old.  She is now 31 years old.  Where the time go?!?  She will retire at the National Bank open is Montreal, where the WTA is appearing this year.

Although her career stalled amidst the concussion and numerous injuries and surgery, she remained an ambassador in Canada for the sport.  Mind you, she would not have been in the top 10.  Thank you Genie for the very brief excitement you brought to Canadian fans….lol!

I wonder how she is doing with pickleball.
Miss_Vee, your boy Dennis is in the finals in Mexico. Good to see he is still trying.

I know about Denis Sek, and I just saw that he won the tournament.  It’s his second title of the year.  In between February and now, he hasn’t even made the 4th round at any of the big tournaments.  The only that I can finally admit, is that this will be Denis’ career.  His inconsistency will be a constant…..lol!!  Hopefully he will at least have around 7 or 8 titles…..even sneak out a Masters, if Carlos and Jannik are not in the mix.
He now has 4 titles.

Genie seems to be doing well in pickleball.  I read that she had teamed up with Roddick just prior to Wimbledon to play doubles vs Graf and Agassi in a tournament which paid 1 million to the winners.  Andre and Steffi won.
She seems to be happy just to be a celebrity now, and play pickleball.

Caroline Garcia tied the knot yesterday in France.  Congrats Caro!
Apparently Leylah Fernandez is hoping to go on a date, while the tour is in Montreal…. Lol.  Life on the pro tour can be so tough when it pertains to finding a life partner, or even go on a date.

Another tennis couple bites the dust for the second time.  Only this time, it might be final.  Tsitsidosa…lol, have called it quits on their romance.  Sek, your girl Paula, and Tsitsipas have put an end to their relationship, after they both crashed out in the first round at Wimbledon.

They were cute together.  However, I think they made their relationship too public.

Not only did Tsitsipas end his relationship with Paula Badosa, he ended his brief stint with Goran Isanesovic, he returned the bosom of his family.  He apologized to Daddy dearest, and rehired him tout de suite.  ( is that the correct French term?)
I think like Sasha, he will always return to his Dad.

Unfortunately Naomi let go of Wim Fisette, who actually seems to be a good coach.  My impression over the years is that Naomi isn’t very smart.  Not an intelligent person.  She is very introverted, and dumb!!  Hate to admit it.  I tend to admire smarts in women…and men.

Miss Vee you have me rolling 🤣.  Sek I don't know who she can possibly hire.  Someone like Cahill maybe?  I don't know she needs to figure out how much she really wants this.  Seems like she does bc she has even played challengers.  Fisette could've been it.  Does Carlos Rodriguez still coach?  🤣

Missvee, I think Naomi will benefit from a female coach, I will like to see more women coaching……Serena what you doing, besides taking ozempic? So many great retired players who could help Osaka.

She needs stability in coaching.  I absolutely love watching Naomi when she is playing well.  Sugar, you have a really good point that Naomi might do well with a female coach.  I can see that all players struggle with some level of confidence during their tennis career.  However, Naomi is at a different level…meaning extremely low, which is mixed some depressive episodes. That’s what I’m seeing with the stuff that she posts, after a loss, and what she says in her interviews.  She has very little internal self esteem or confidence.

Osaka needs to work on her return game and develop a transition game.
She can not hit powerful shots the way she does and continue to stand on the baseline. Movement needs to improve as well.
She can still win but not without adding to her game.

I know you may not be in agreement with this statement, but Naomi is the epitome of a gen z , weak minded, she next psychological help. Naomi went from this sweet ,shy person to a completely different from the one  portrayed to the world she was more wild than what we thought, not than having sex while not married is a big thing these days but for the role she was playing is not was she really really is.think she is confused. Like many other in her generation.

Sugar, you know that Naomi had my sympathy when he started derailing her career.  She was struggling so hard, it broke my heart for her.  She was led into this sport by her Dad, without the psychological tools to help her be a strong confident girl, and now woman.  That was unlike the WS.  Her Dad tried to follow Richard Williams playbook, but did not arm Naomi with the psychological equipment with which to deal with her professional and personal life

Richard Williams taught his girls well what to expect, and how to respond to negativity.  That’s why they thrived, despite the negative comments.   Naomi’s background ( raised by a Japanese mother, and Haitian Dad) played d a huge role in her lack of maturity, combined with lack of self esteem and self worth.  Although she was raised in America mainly, she has maintained more of a Japanese mindset in the way she conducted her life.  Im not sure what having sex, without marriage has to do with anything in this day and age. My only takeaway from that, is that now she is a single mother….just like Vika.  That’s a really tough row to hoe….no pun intended…..😂

However sugar, I agree that Naomi is weak minded.  Im hoping that she continues with ongoing psychological help.
