Raducanu is a nice girl, but not a heavyweight in tennis.  She’s playing better, but will not beat the top girls.

Miss_Vee, you know how Rybakina sometimes will not show up, I sure thought this would be the day. Emma's kind of ball is just right for Rybakina. 

She decided to show the world who the real one slam wonder is. lol

Is Alcaraz learning to play more efficient or are these guys just bad? I stepped away after the first set, I come back and it is over.

Sek, Carlos is playing with more patience, for what I see.but let’s see as the tournament advances, I still worry about his serve.

Rybakina has been off kilter for more than a year.  I’m watching her try to dig in harder again.  We shall see if she gets past her next opponent, and then get past Sabalenka.  Still think her slow movement around the court remains her biggest liability.  However, she looked so smooth, annd shots so effortless against Emma.  Shits flowing like smooth butter off her racquet….lol.

Wow!  What happened to Paolini in this set.  Usually she fights so hard in a match.  Vondrousova is playing very smart with her spinny shots.

Think Shelton has picked up an injury, his left shoulder.  Apparently he fell a few minutes ago, and could have jarred his left arm, and shoulder.  Took a MTO, interrupting Mannarino’s game, and he seems to have done something to his serving arm.

Oh boy!  ATP draw is continuing to disintegrate.  Shelton had to retire with a left shoulder/arm injury.  Mannarino goes through to the fourth round.  Big names continue to disappear.

Shelton has been playing too much lately, I think his body is saying no.

Sek, Shelton had a fall where he hurt his shoulder.  Leylah and Sab has the potential to be good if Leylah shows up and counterpunches Trunchbull into frustration.

I feel so bad for Shelton, hopefully it is not a major injury.

I thought Shelton was playing too much.  After Wimbledon, he played all the hard court tournaments.  His body gave out in Cincy.   Feel bad for him also, abd wanted to see where he was in relation to Carlos. 

Leylah has shown up tonight to give Sabalenka fits in this match. Lol.

Crowd in NYC at the USO loves Leylah.  It’s her grit, and heart that endears her to tennis fans.  She is so little, but mighty in courage, and tennis ability.

This evening crowd is truly getting their money’s worth with the tennis being played tonight.  Townsend looks ready for battle in her match facing Andreeva.  I think Andreeva will be feeling the heat from the crowd, supporting TT.

Fritz has his hand full with this player Kym, who hails from Switzerland, who just took the second set.

Townsend is on a mission.  She has won the first set.  TT wants to get her ranking back into the top 100.  She’s playing great so far.  

Andreeva has lost her mind already when she lost her serve.  Took a BRB after the first set.

Andreeva is going down tonight.  TT plays a different brand of tennis, that seems to handcuff Mirra, who has to learn to compose herself when she is under enormous pressure.  She gets flustered and frustrated too easily.  Maybe take a page out of Mboko’s book.  Stay as calm as possible, and find ways to stay in the match.   Taylor is looking really good in this match.

Very happy for Taylor T.  She deserves to be in the second week of her home tournament, where she was previously denied access when she was a teen, as the No 1 ranked junior player.

Taylor will play Krejikova in the 4th round.  This girl is really racking up wins on the doubles court, and millions of dollars also.

I enjoyed watching that kid who played against Fritz, hopefully he continues to improve.

As you all know I don’t care about the ladies tennis, but is good to see Taylor winning after the Jelena issue.
