Career grandslam complete. Carlos is playing with house money the rest of the year.

I just looked at the live rankings, top 2 guys have 10,000+ points, followed by Novak at 5,280, the rest of the top ten are below 5,000. lol

Thank God!  Just checked the results.  Peeked into the commentary after Djokovic had won the first set to hear Chris Eubanks say that Carlos had to change up his strategy, because Carlos was trying to play like Sinner and Djokovic….lol.  Then I turned off the TV, before play had resumed and went to sleep.

Carlos won in 4 sets.   Djokovic cannot get through both of these players to win another GS title, even with having been given essentially 2 walkovers into the SF.  Congratulations Carlos!!

Thanks start!! I can post from my phone now 🤣🤣🤣. But yes sugar, love this kid.  So humble and so talented.  If not for nerves, would’ve been straight sets.  Gotta give Novak credit at this age though.

Fedex, I peeked in on the 4th set and I thought Nole was playing very well, moved very well, he really wanted to push it to the 5th set.
Novak is still very good. If he had faced Zverev in the final, he would have won this title. If I were him, I would stick around and play 4-5 events a year and keep trying.

Now back to Carlos, I think any of us can coach this kid and he would still win. lol.
How he had that drama with JCF and goes to AO and completes a career slam is a lot of mental strength.

Now we need Draper and my guy Rune back in the mix.
I even laughed as I typed Rune's name. Carlos would be like, "Sorry, who is Rune?"

Sek great point about Juan Carlos, Carlitos is a bit like Federer in that style some coaches perhaps can enhanced some parts of their games but they could coach themselves and still win.

Glad you caught yourself with rune lol.  Draper is a cautionary tale too - killing himself to keep up with Carlos, jannik, Novak

Carlos, most gifted player ever in my humble opinion. 7 slams at 22.

Sugar, in addition to being gifted, it is the mental toughness, discipline and upbringing.
Look at players like Kyrgios, Bublik, Musetti. These are players talented enough to challenge Carlos.
But if not mentally weak, they don't have discipline to put in the hardwork.

He certainly is the man. Already establishing himself as an all-time great. Sinner is forced down our throats and marketed as the preppy great white hope, but to me Carlos is the face of men's tennis.

He is the face of tennis, sinner perhaps can be only marketable in Europe ,but Carlos is the face of tennis worldwide.

lol nadals agreed but don’t think anyone thinks of sinner as being more the face of tennis than Carlos

Hey guys I have not followed all the behind the scenes with Carlitos and JCF but in his presser Carlos referred to them as “ those people “ 😳 they did not ended things in a friendly manner by his response.

Sugar, Carlos and JCF are cool with each other. It is the media and the outside people on social media he is referring to who doubted him.
JCF says he has received many offers to coach but he said he is not ready to return to tennis yet. He is coaching a young golfer.

I know about the young golfer sek, I’m talking about how Carlos responded on his press conference about JuanCa. Hopefully it was just him trying to focus on his win and not wanting to answer the question, I love them together I’m hoping everything is cool.

Chris Eubanks has inked a 3 year commentating deal with Tennis channel.  He also has a contract with ESPN, to be an Analyst for Wimbledon and USO and maybe AO also.  Tell you what guys, I’m thrilled for Chris.  He has the gifts to be a commentator.  I can honestly see him also transitioning out of sports, to TV in due time.  I find that he is very analytical, and his voice is meant for radio, or TV.

Oh, before I forget.  Roddick now has a deal to be commentator for Wimby and the USO.  He will also continue with his SERVED podcast.  It seems TV bosses want younger voices in the commentary booth.  Out with old f**ts, in with the new….😂

🤣 Happy for both guys. I wonder if Roddick's kids are into tennis.

I think I know the answer to that question about Roddick’s kids.  So far….nope.  Neither are following in Dad’s footsteps, and may I say…good choice.😂!!

That is good, tennis is a tough sport, even worse when people keep bringing up your dad's name.
Ever look at some of these tall tennis players and wonder why they didn't get into basketball? Always crosses my mind.
