I thought this tournament start date was Jan 18th….Which would been Sunday night.  Instead the start is tomorrow night, which Sunday day time in Australia.  Anyway, welcome to blue sunny skies amidst our bleak midwinter….lol.

Walton is an Aussie, and may have qualified or a WC.

Anyway Cobolli is potentially on his way out of the tournament.  He is down by 2 sets, and a break to his opponent Fery from the U.K.  He just took a MTO.  I’m not sure if there is anything wrong with him.  This isn’t like Cobolli at all.

Btw, Danilovic has been a promising younger player for several years now, and I’m sure she did not want to be a statistic on Venus’ impressive resume….lol.  Venus ran out of steam, and that’s it in a nutshell.  I’m quickly realizing I don’t have to stay up late to watch matches from Australia.  Can watch videoclips the next day.  So I’m done with wrecking my body now.

I’m kidding sugar.  There are some people, who thinks that he married her for her money.  His resume says that he is former model and actor in Italy, and now is a director or something.  He is supposed to have his own money.  However, when a famous wealthy woman marries a younger man there are always rumours floating around.  I hope that Venus has a good prenup in place.  I’m hoping that Venus has found herself a good, decent man.  That’s my hope and wish for her.

Apparently she has maintained her pro status, because he wanted to see her play tennis live.  She is still playing at a high level, but she cannot sustain that level to go deep into GS now, or even win a 250 level tournament.
