I also found out that Vicky had hyperextended her right knee during the Adelaide tournament.  The heavy strapping on her knee, provides stability, and her coach said that she is fine.  He was just interviewed before this match.  Here we go!

For some strange reason, I’m not nervous watching Vicky play tennis.  I’m aware that it’s a tough matchup for her, but she is so stable mentally, that I’m not worried about her.

Man I just watched a clip of Rafter and Hewitt daughters, where have the time gone? I was never a fan of Hewitt but his daughter is pretty and have a wonderful singing voice, now Patrick rafter daughter, beautiful!

sugar, Vicky just joined the tour, less than a year ago.  She will have mental lapses.  This girl is learning still how to play at the highest level.  I think that’s why I’m not nervous about her ….yet…lol

Victoria used a lot of energy trying to finish the match in 2 sets.  I understand that she did the right thing.  However, let’s hope rhat she can take the match to a tiebreak again,

That’s what I mean about Vicky!  She will probably face in the third set now.  Tauson has more experience right now at this level.  Give Vicky until RG and Wimbledon this year. I think we shall see her go deep in those tournaments also.  She will be exhausted if she wins this match.  I hope that she can still win, but I think Tauson now has the momentum.

In the meantime, Sabalenka had to fight hard to win the first set.  Now she’s running away with the second set.

Crowd is really behind Mboko.  Are you guys aware that the Australian Open has a banner featuring Mboko?  She has really garnered a lot of respect, and made the WTA even more exciting.  People cannot wait to see this young talent.  Good for her!

nadals, Moutet has all the shots including throwing in under arm serves. But he likes to act like he doesn't care and plays "careless" shots to throw you off.

His matches usually have some drama because of something he tries to do to annoy the opponent.

There are now 5 teens rising through WTA rankings.  Andreeva (age 18)heads the pack at No 7. Then we have Mboko ( age 19)who is currently ranked #12 in live rankings.  Makes the 2nd week of GS for the first time.

Iva Jovic is now #22 ( age 18). Makes the second week of GS for the first time.

Tereza Valentova #44 (age 19)

Nikola Bartunkova #107 (age 19, almost 20).  This seems to be her breakthrough tournament.  Probably shouldn’t make the list because she is still outside the top 100.

I have heard of neither Tereza nor Nikola.  Both are Czech. Wow, that country keeps giving us good talent, question is do they have heart?

Tereza plays Rybakina next. Nikola is the one who beat Bencic.  Well, will watch their matches tonight.

I think Elena has met Valentova a few months ago.  I would have to check to confirm.  Obviously this young girl is improving with every match.  Definitely have to see both matches.
