This is it!  Sabalenka vs Anisimova.  Who will take the crown?  I’m settling in and hoping to see a great match.

That was huge for Amanda to break there and get on the board after the disaster in Wimbledon.  Even if it takes 3, she knows she has a huge shot here.  There's nothing that Sabalenka does which should bother her.  Sab just competes and dies out there and Amanda needs to match that and if so, this final is hers.

Fed, I think this match is in the hands of Anisimova.  She is powering through her shots, like never before.  I knew from the time I saw her beat Petra k at Indian Wells, that this girl had the game to win GS titles.  She has finally come into her own.

Sabalenka has broken back, so this match will be another nail biter, just like the SF matches.

Amanda needs to be prepared for this and push back.

Learning to win with B/C tennis is not taught.  Sabalenka is just being consistent realizing that Amanda has only all or nothing.

Yes Fedex, I see that with Amanda.  Well, if this holds, it seems as if Sabalenka is holding her own pretty well in this match.

I was hoping for a tougher match from Anisimova.  I guess she doesn’t have her game today, but if she tries to be more consistent, maybe she can get back into the match.

The comeback has started by Anisimova!  Will she be successful?  Aryna is down 15-30 serving for the match.

Really wanted Amanda to win this one.  However, she will be back, as long as she stays healthy.

Amanda is a player who I feel from seeing her …at her very best she beat everyone’s best she needs to keep growing and putting herself in these positions she hits the cover off the ball

It seems to be a thing for every major star in whatever field, be it an actress or actor, sports appear in Fkishing meadows to watch the USO.

Bianca you are absolutely right.  Issue is that doesn't always work so she needs to be able to hit at 75% of her power and hit with heaviness/top spin and build the point like Serena learned later in her career.  Sabalenka didn't use most of her power today bc she saw how nervous Amanda was and focused on being consistent.

FedEx you are right it’s not just about hitting hard if that were the case Lisicki would have multiple slams…..you have to know how to control it. Whats promoting is that Amanda reached the SF at RG ,So she must to know how to construct points ,show patience & restraint right?
I think it takes certain girls longer than others to get the mental part sorted. Amanda is no longer the girl who lost a Wimbledon final love and love then faded away ...she is a legit slam contender going forward.
