Enduro Bike Race

Did anyone time Enduro Bike race using RD? To our understanding there are individually timed segments (stages) with breaks between these segments. Can you set up this race format in RD and be able to come out with segments as well as total times?

I timed a 24-hour race last month that was a 1-mile loop with a rest. Runners had to run 1 loop every 30 minutes for 24 hours. The time between finishing the loop and the start of the next 30-minute segment was the 'rest'.  We had segments and total time. 

The biggest challenge was controlling unwanted reads.
