Each team will run 5 boys and 5 girls

Top 3 boys and top 3 girls from each team will have their times combined for a team score, based on total time.

Use Team Scoring but not XC scoring.

The in Tailor Teams check Mixed Genders for those teams and it will ask how many to count per gender.

Then use Team reports as usual and score 6.

I think that should do it. :-)

Raul, that is interesting.  I have this situation a few times per year as well.  I have just set up two races in RD.  One I score the boys and girls team results then I also enter all racers and change genders to the same.. either m of f and enter/rescore for the coed results.  It has worked for me.

I think Raul is on the right track here - as long as you don't need cross country displacement rules.  You would have to have the setting for cross country set off and set up the team classification like you see in the screen shot.
