Perhaps asking a question that's already been asked, but will Race Director no longer see a  yearly release cycle? It seems to make more sense to take the approach that RunScore does with the yearly renewal subscription by patching/updating a single version rather than a yearly release.

RD 2020 is the last major release of RD.  I will continue to enhance it only for functions not available yet in Race Day Scoring.  Right now, that's mostly cross country and lap races.  I will continue to support anyone using RD through at least the end of 2023.  Support is now anniversary based.  For example, if you last paid for support on April 20, 2020, your support expiration date is April 20, 2021.  A few weeks before your support subscription expires, you will begin getting prompts in RD that support is due.  So, in this case, if you purchase your 2021 support on April 1, 2021, your new expiration date will be one year from your current expiration date - in this case it would become April 20, 2022.  When you pay for support, you have full access to both Race Day Scoring and Race Director support.

Quick question not totally related to the subject question:
Regarding the race I had two weeks ago where we ended up creating a new division and then adding that event into RSU (after the race was completed), will this be as easily done in RDS as it was in RD?
For those not knowing what I am talking about; had an obstacle course race where there were three divisions - 5 mile Elite, 5 mile open and 15 mile open. The 15 mile was just three laps of the 5 mile course. Conditions and the course difficulty made it so that about 1/3 of the 15 milers completed only 1 lap, another 1/3 completed 2 laps while the remainder completed all 3 laps. There were no awards except for an Elite Division so moving people into any of the open divisions didn't change any awards.
To be able to display those who completed 2 laps, we created a 10 mile division and moved those into that division, those completing just 1 lap moved to the 5 mile open.
But... we had to now create a 10 mile event within RSU so they could be shown. Roger was (as normal) super helpful in doing all this.
It was a "piece of cake" in RD to create the new division and move the appropriate people into that division. Hoping that RDS is just as easy.
