The Pipits: Parry Sound Big Day Saturday June 6

Hi Pipits!

I just wanted to let you guys know, that the day before the Carden Alvar trip, Saturday June 6 - Geordie and I are doing a Parry Sound Big Day with Mark Calhoun and company.
If you're planning on coming up for the Carden trip on the Sunday (June 7), you might be interested in joining us in Parry Sound on the Saturday!

Here's a rough idea of the day plan, we will only be participating in a portion of it as we're up very early on the Sunday for Carden.

"Parry Sound District Big Day of birding on Saturday, June 6 and another on Sunday, June 7, 2026...
The idea is to gather a small group of birders (around 20) and explore some favourite local hotspots together. Saturday would start in Parry Sound at 6:30 a.m. with morning trail birding, afternoon car birding in the Orrville–McKellar–Hurdville area, Chimney Swift watching at sunset, and possibly evening owling in Carling. "

Hi Colleen, 

I am very interested in joining the Big Day on Saturday, June 6th! I have been birding in Parry Sound District for 46 years, but further to the north. I'm looking forward to learning more about the birding in the area that this trip is planned for.
