Last call for folks to join us this Saturday to celebrate Valentine's Day the Pipits way!
No better way than to spend time with like minded folks, out in the elements, looking for winter birds and owls!
This trip is mainly car birding, but we will walk through Owl Woods on Saturday, so bring your icers and dress super warm.

I unfortunately can’t make this trip, but I did have a general question. For future events, is it possible to carpool with folks, is that something people do in this group?

Sorry you can't come to Amherst... it will be fun!

Yes, folks do carpool. The best way is to do like you did, reply to the outing announcement I send out. That message goes to the group, and folks can reply to you if they are able to carpool.
